Age 79 of Vicksburg, formerly of Galesburg passed away November 30, 2025, Rick was born in Richard City, TN on April 22, 1946, the son of James Richard and Lena C. (Howard) Knight. On September 7, 2001, he married the love of his life and best friend, Denise Anaman, who survives him. Rick worked for many years in the construction industry as a siding applicator. He also worked for 14 years at Allied Paper Mill. He loved going to the stock car races at Galesburg Speedway. He never met a stranger. He could strike up a conversation anywhere. Rick was a great cook and his daughter especially enjoyed his pork chops. When he would grocery shop, he made friends with the cashiers at the Harding’s in Galesburg. Rick was most at home in his pole barn poker room where he hosted poker nights with friends. These poker games made for great fun and laughter which could be heard all the way in the house. Sometimes, Rick would share his pole barn with Denise, where they would make gifts out of skid wood. Before his disease, Rick confessed his faith in Jesus as his Savior. To know Rick was to love him. Besides his wife, Rick is survived by his daughter, Christine Knight Trevino; grandchildren, Ericka (Shawn) Camburn, Lorenzo Knight Trevino; great-grandchildren, Payton and Lucas Camburn; sister, Angela (Jim) English; sister-in-law, Laura Suglia; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Rick was preceded in death by his parents; son, Rick Knight; brothers, Jack Howard, David Knight, and Gary Knight; sister, Myra Knight; a brother-in-law, Phil Suglia.
