Bob will be laid to rest at Ft. Custer National Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Southwest Reservation Aid, c/o the funeral home.

Age 83, passed away on Monday evening, April 5, 2021. Bob was born in Evanston, IL, on September 26, 1937, the son of James and Priscilla (DeWard) Rohrer. On July 9, 1976, he married Shirley Leist who survives him. Bob proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force. He worked for many years in research and development at Allied Paper Company, and later was as a resident care attendant at the Kalamazoo Regional Psychiatric Hospital. Bob was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing and golfing. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Julie Rohrer of Plainwell; grandsons, Matthew Chappie and Gregory Chappie; brother, James (Thelma) Rohrer; step-children, Mark (Shelley) Hoogerheide of Kalamazoo, Paul (Mary) Hoogerheide of Bellflower, CA, David Hoogerheide of Kalamazoo, Dawn (Charles) Fierke of Kalamazoo; step-grandchildren, Jessica, Stephanie, Kristen, Allison, David, Andrew, Anna, Austin, Kenneth, Elizabeth; many nieces and nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Alex Chappie, sister, Dorothy Hartman; brother Bruce Rohrer.
