The family will greet friends following the service at the church where a light luncheon will be served. Interment with full military honors will take place at a later date at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Andrew Community Church Building Fund.

Age 91, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Monday, January 23, 2023. Bob was born in Chester, Connecticut on April 12, 1931, the son of the late Louis A. and Rose Marie (Treber) Zanardi. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. Bob loved to cook, to travel and the outdoors, especially snowmobiling. He was a life-long member of the Elks Lodge. Bob also enjoyed camping with his family. He had a kind and generous heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Bob was active in his church and served his congregations in many capacities and through volunteering. On January 14, 1950, he married the love of his life, the former Doris Ann Doorlag, who preceded him in death on October 18, 2012. Bob was also preceded in death by his grandson, Anthony Zanardi and son in-law, Steve Alexander. He is survived by five children, Robert, Jr. (Donna) Zanardi, Laraine Ann Alexander, Louis (Treasa) Zanardi, Terri (Ken) Ledbetter and Vicki Bayard; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews, in-laws and extended family members.
