Age 85, passed away on Saturday morning, April 17, 2021, with his family by his side. Bob was born in Sturgis, Michigan on August 24, 1935, the son of the late Charles R. Hilton and Ethleyn (Peppiatt) Hilton. Bob graduated from Bronson High School and subsequently began his schooling at Green’s Barber Academy in Detroit, Michigan. Of course, as barbering goes, Bob was the best of the best and had a huge following over a 59-year career. He owned and operated Silver Shears on Sprinkle Road and retired from something he loved on May 17, 2017. On September 16, 1956, he married his love, Barbara Weeden and they most recently celebrated 64 years of marriage. His family tells of his storied career with smiles on their faces. Bob was known by his clients of his ability to get to know the kids that he served. If the kids were involved in sports, he would follow their stats closely and loved to watch them succeed. He was a member of the Kalamazoo Rod and Gun Club, National Rifle Association, and Ted Brook’s Archery. Bob also enjoyed hunting, fishing and archery (of which he strived for proficiency). Mostly, Bob loved his wife, his kids, grandkids and great-grandchildren. He was very proud of all of them and loved to watch them soar. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Terry Lee Hilton, and siblings, Charles Hilton, and his wife, Lettie, along with brother Max Hilton and his wife, Betty. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Barbara, their children, Robert Willard (Corajean) Hilton and Paulette Hilton (Wilbur Klosterman), as well as grandchildren, Jaclyn (Aaron) White, Jesse (Ashley) Hilton, Jessica (Marshall) Ogan, Robert (Amanda Rodriguez) Fredericks, and great grandchildren, Cora, Natalie, RoMar, Lauryn, Justin, Sydney, Maddox, Arwyn, and Finley as well as his sisters, Elizabeth Wagner, and Linda (John) Finch, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members.
