Age 80, passed away on Thursday morning, May 13, 2021. Bob was born in Kalamazoo, on December 8, 1940, the son of William Blaine and Adriana (DeKoekkoek) Welker. On May 26, 1967, he married Sandra Pullon who survives him. He proudly served his nation in the U.S. Air National Guard Reserves. Bob was the former owner of Welker’s Floor Service. He loved many sports including, downhill skiing, waterskiing, and participated in softball and senior softball leagues, as well as golf, bowling, and pool leagues. He was a great outdoorsman and enjoyed deer and moose hunting, and especially fishing. Bob and Sandy traveled the entirety of the United States during their marriage. In retirement they traveled to Hawaii, Alaska and Ireland. His favorite thing was spending time with his sons. He enjoyed being with their friends, and treated everyone like family. He was always young at heart. Nothing was more important to him than his family. Besides his wife, Bob is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Welker of Portage, Timothy (Sandy) Welker of Paw Paw; sisters, Betty Slack and Geraldine Loveland; sisters-in-law, Judith Welker and Senetta Welker; several nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Blaine W. Welker, Larry Welker and Blair Welker; nephew, Rod Slack; and his brothers-in law, James Slack and Robert Loveland.
