Robert will be laid to rest in a private graveside service with full military honors at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice, in c/o the funeral home.

Robert Bogema age 99 of Plainwell, passed away Wednesday morning, February 11, 2026. Robert was born in Kalamazoo, the son of Harvey and Violet (Cooley) Bogema. He was a proud World War II veteran, having served his nation in the United States Navy. Robert was an avid golfer. Golf was truly his passion. He had won several championships and numerous trophies. He had 12 hole-in-ones over his lifetime, the last one being at age 91. He was still playing golf at age 92. Robert was a simple man who loved the outdoors. Robert is survived by his children, Robert (Bonnie Betz) Bogema, Mark (Sylvia) Bogema, Heather (Stephen) Stampfler, Lisa (Daniel) Teske; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by parents, a brother and a sister.
