Age 66, Robert passed Sunday morning in his home with the support of Reverence Hospice. He had been ill for several years of decline. Robert leaves behind his wife, Loraine, beloved daughter, Chelsea Ross. He had two remaining siblings, Ann of Granger, Indiana and George of Del Ray, Florida. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ellen Layman, and his father, George Cowe and most recently by his brother, David Lee Cowe of Niles, Michigan.

Other surviving members are his sister in law, Nancy Cowe of Niles, Michigan; brother in law, Raymond and Mary Woolner of Oakton Virginia; loving nieces and nephews, Ben, Jen, Shailah, Jody, Jacob, Matt, and Jillian, Andrew and Tina, Mackenzie and Morgan and grand-nieces and nephews Aria, Serynn, Halee, Jacoy, Christopher, Sierra, Landon, Hayden and Finley.

Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had a love for Lake Leelanau and his RV. His dog Blu and he would walk for miles on Lake Michigan. During his working life, he served in Child Protective Services for the State of Michigan. He also served in the United States Army as a military policeman during the Vietnam Conflict. At Bob’s request a private family dinner will be held to celebrate his life and mourn his passing. The family would like to thank Reverence Home Care and Hospice for their care during his last days.
