Age 51, passed away at his home on December 22, 2021. Ron Jr. was born in Kalamazoo on November 9, 1970, the son of Ronald Pettitt Sr. and Eleanor Kyle. Ron Jr. had a warm and welcoming smile; known as the “Ronnie Smile”. Ron loved to make others laugh and was a joy to be around. He loved to gather around a bonfire and have nice conversations. He enjoyed watching movies and was always ready to quote a memorable and hilarious line. He was a gifted builder and mechanic who enjoyed tinkering with one project or another. He was passionate about motorcycles and cars and could often be found working on both. His daughter and he used to talk about being on a father and daughter pit crew one day.  He was kind to animals and loved his pets. Ron Jr. was a hard and dedicated worker. Above all he loved his family and friends. He especially cherished his grandchildren. Ron Jr. will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by two daughters, Amanda (Jacob) DeWald and Jaedyn Colburn; two grandchildren, Riley and Charlotte DeWald; siblings, Bruce (Paige) Southworth, Donna (Garry) Sanderson, Timothy Craft and Cynthia Collier; his father Ronald Sr.; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in passing by his mother Eleanor.
