Age 81, passed away at Borgess Medical Center on April 25, 2023. She was born in Alva, KY on May 24, 1941, the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Evans) Hulsey. Ruth was kind, loving and gentle. She worked hard to provide a happy home for her children where all were made to feel welcome. When not working or caring for others, she loved being outdoors tending to her garden and enjoying nature. She had an artistic side and enjoyed writing poetry and loved listening to old time country hymns and music. She also liked to be around people and was a great listener and conversationalist. Above all Ruth loved her children and was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all who loved her. Ruth is survived by three children, Charles (Teresa) Stainer, Betty (Randy) Batey, Douglas Tinney; grandchildren, Ruthie (Walter) Piotrowski, Joel (Courtney) Stainer; great-grandchildren, Logan, Alana, Gavin, Gage and Reece; nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in passing by her former husbands, Jesse Stainer and Duane Burch; children, Joel A. Stainer, June A. Stainer, Sally J. Stainer.
