Great Dentist, Great Personality - Missed

Posted by STEVEN L WALMAN on September 13, 2025

I’m so sorry to hear of Dr Ellard’s passing. He was my Dentist for 20+ years and I’ll never forget him! He was intelligent, talented, meticulous, funny, personable, caring. I’m sure he was instrumental in helping many people on their dental journey. After a rocky beginning (my anxiety), I looked forward to dental visits. Because he made it easy. My condolences to Debbie and his family. He will be greatly missed.

Debbie and kids-I’m so sorry for your loss of truly an amazing person. He was so incredibly intelligent and was hands down an expert on the TMJ. I know he worked hard to get there and a lot of people benefited from his knowledge and his unending quest to do it correctly as if he or a family member was in his chair. He always was a barrel of laughs with a twinkle in his eyes as well. May you all find the strength you need to get through his absence in your lives and may he continue to live through your love and memories of him. Sincerely, Kathy Berglund

My big brother, I will miss you so much. I’m trying to put my head around your absence, it’s surreal to me. I’m thankful you are not in pain, you were a valiant fighter! Thank you for always loving me and showing me an example of grit and determination. RIP I’ll love you forever. Until we meet again❤️

Dr. Scott was one of a kind. Thank you for taking great care of us beginning on the downtown Kalamazoo Mall to Whites Road and on Oakland Dr. The Ellard legacy lives on through the smiles of all those he treated.
