December 11, 1937 - January 31, 2026

A service in witness to Sherm’s faith will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Second Christian Reformed Church, 3015 Nichols Rd., Kalamazoo. Friends may call on the family following the service at the church. Sherm will be laid to rest in a private family service at Grand Prairie Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Shalom Kalamazoo, an organization serving adults with disabilities through the love and wholeness of Jesus Christ or Granite Springs Church in Lincoln CA, a congregation begun by his children Kevin and Gerry Adams and a cause often in his prayers and dear to his heart, in c/o the funeral home.

I have fond memories of childhood Christmas Eve gatherings of our family with Uncle Sherm, Aunt Em, Kevin, Jon and Mike, and Uncle Ron, Aunt Linda, Jeff and Tod - games, music, stories, and food that always included Pepsi and potato chips. No matter what, we had to have Pepsi for Uncle Sherm! With sincere sympathy, we're lifting you up in our thoughts and prayers.
