Steven Douglas Roddy, age 45, was born on January 29, 1980, in Battle Creek, Michigan, and passed away on December 19, 2025, at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Steven is survived by his father, Kim (Carlina) Roddy of Chattanooga, Tennessee; his mother, Rebecca Knapp of Battle Creek, Michigan; his brother, Christopher Roddy; his close aunt, Cynthia Roddy of Battle Creek; his uncle, Steven Corum; his cousins, Kacie Brunner of Athens and Brooke Bronsink of East Leroy; and his partner, Sara Walker.
Steven was an entrepreneur at heart and briefly owned and operated his own DJ business in Tennessee. In 2013, he relocated to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he worked in the moving sales industry. Steven found great joy in the ocean and the sunshine.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William and Joan Roddy; his maternal grandparents, Aubrey and Mavis Corum; his stepfather, David Knapp; his uncles, Jeffrey Roddy and David Roddy; and his aunt, Leslie Rardin, all of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Steven faced many battles and struggles throughout his life, which are now behind him. We hope that he has found the peace that this world could not give him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
