Age 85, passed away early Tuesday afternoon, February 14, 2023. Theresa was born in East Chicago, IN, on March 20, 1937, the daughter of John and Genevieve (Cygankowski) Wojtaszek. On June 24, 1967, she married The Rev. Stanley Strzalkowski who preceded her in death in 2005. Theresa was an elementary school teacher for many years. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. She was a strong helper to her husband in his ministry. Theresa loved to cook, especially traditional Polish foods. Nothing was more important to her than her family. She was a loving mother who adored her grandchildren and never stopped being a teacher. Theresa is survived by her son, Stanley J. (Amy) Strzalkowski of Vicksburg; grandchildren, Stanley C. Strzalkowski, William Strzalkowski, Emma Strzalkowski; siblings, Henrietta Horoda, Marie Vrlik; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Andrews; sister, Loretta Wojtaszek.
