Age 62, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017, after a long battle with dementia. Her family was at her side. Vicki was born in Lansing, MI, on November 15, 1954. She had a great personality that made her a joy to know. Vicki had a caring and compassionate heart. She was a nurse’s aide and worked for more than ten years at Saginaw Geriatrics. While there she received many awards for perfect attendance which emphasized her commitment to the hospital and to her patients. When not working, Vicki knew how to have fun! She loved meeting and making new friends during many memorable nights out with her sister. She also loved music and especially enjoyed going to outdoor country concerts. Above all, Vicki loved her family and she did her very best to provide for them. Her warm smile and laughter will be missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her only daughter, Shannon (Shane) Thompson; three grandchildren, Caleb, Lauren, Alexandra; mother, Jane Stripling; three siblings, Deb (Don) Gulick, Robert (Kim) Miller, Nancy (Tom) Bower; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in passing by her father, Charles Edwins and her nephew, Chad Nickols.
