Age 70, passed away Tuesday evening in Kalamazoo. Alice was born on October 13, 1949 in Three Rivers, Michigan, the daughter of Donald and Joey Crippin. After high school, she worked in retail for many years and eventually started a family of her own. She was a mom for 47 years and loved to sew, crochet and craft. When the kids were younger, she and her family enjoyed many camping trips and other activities. Alice was a sweet, loving person who will be dearly missed by many. She was preceded in death by her parents. Alice leaves to cherish her memory, her children Mark Scharer of Middleburg, Florida, David Scharer of Otsego, Michigan and Troy Scharer of Kalamazoo. She will also be dearly missed by her beloved grandchildren, Caleb, Logan, Alliana, Mattheus and Emma Scharer, as well as her sisters Barb Kramb, Debra Shumway Hudson and brother Stan Crippin.
