Obituary

Age 63, passed away at Bronson Methodist Hospital on August 18, 2023. He was born in Kalamazoo on October 4, 1959, the son of Alvin and Marlene (Clubb) Hambright Sr. Lee was kind, loving and genuine. He had an infectious laugh and smile that would light up the room and his sense of humor always made people feel welcome. Lee would make a friend wherever he went and will be missed by all those who loved him. He worked hard to provide for those he loved. He went to work at the age of 14 and over the years worked for various construction companies in the Kalamazoo area. He then transitioned to plumbing and pipe fitting and retired in 2022 from the Local 357 Pipefitters Union. When not working he enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid hunter. He also loved to fish with his son Levi and took many special Elk Hunting Trips with his brother and close friends. He enjoyed spending time at the family cabin up north and looked forward to spending time at Deer Camp in the Marcellus area; he never missed a season. Above all Lee loved his family and his friends. He leaves behind wonderful memories to be cherished. On May 20, 1995, he married Betty (Gould) Hambright who survives. He is also survived by his loving son, Levi (Janel Bodley) Hambright; two siblings, Cindy (Mark) Smith and Ed (Terri) Hambright; mother, Marlene; many nieces, nephews and friends; his loyal dog ‘Sadie’. He was preceded in passing by his father Alvin Sr.
