Obituary
Bernard G. Plomp age 94 of Kalamazoo, passed away Thursday July 30, 2026, at Bronson Commons. Bernard was born September 21, 1931, in Holland, Michigan, the son of Fred and Grace Terharr. He graduated from Holland High School as well as Hope College then entered the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Bernard taught biology at Loy Norrix High School and owned Village Green Antiques in Richland. He was a traveler and an entertainer. Surviving are his Godchild, Clayton Mathews and good friends, Jane and Kurtis Holton. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. A
It was an honor to care for my friend to the end of his journey. One I won’t forget. Rest easy my friend.
I had the opportunity to care for Bernard. He was a pleasure to work for. Such and easy going person.
