In accordance with Billy Joe’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a committal service will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park – South. .

Obituary

Age 79, passed away peacefully at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence on Saturday, April 21, 2018, surrounded by loved ones. Billy Joe was born in Kalamazoo on May 11, 1938, the son of the late Oscar and Alta (Sutton) Pio. He loved lake living, family, camping, hunting and fishing. He was employed by Brunswick, InterKal, FabriKal and retired from Kirsh. Billy Joe is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley (Russell) Pio; daughter, Dawn Pio; sons, Billy Jr. (Estrela) and Scott (Wendy) Pio; grandchildren, Christina, Lance, Alicia, Andrew and Tyler; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria and brothers, Ray, Tom, Darell, Dale and Loren.
