After 77 years of dedication to family and friends, Boyd D. Blaine passed away peacefully on June 18, 2016 while surrounded by family. Boyd leaves behind three sons, Rod (Julie), Eric (Paul) and Brian (Becky) Blaine; his loving wife, Sandi and her children, Brian (Shawn) Marr and Jessica (Scott) Lakey. He is also survived by his sister, Viola of Port Huron. Boyd was a family first blessing to his children and took delight in being active in the lives of his grandchildren, Allison (Ryan), Lauren (Kyle), Austin, Anna, Samantha, Jacob, Ethan and Malea. Pool time at Grandma and Grandpa’s house was an exciting time for Boyd and his entire family. He maintained a strong work ethic throughout his life. Boyd served his country through the Army Reserves right out of high school. He was employed by Rockwell in Allegan for 30 years during which he also worked part-time for the Sheriff’s department (Allegan County fairgrounds), for the Saugatuck police department and as a process server for the court. He was the owner of Movies in Motion for several years and recently retired from Harold Ziegler. He enjoyed hundreds of rounds of golf, working with his hands and giving time and advice to his friends and family. He will always be loved and missed by his family that knew he was there for anything they needed. A family celebration of Boyd’s life will be held in the near future. The kingdom of Heaven celebrates his arrival.
