A committal service with full military honors will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 10:30 AM. Those planning to attend the service should plan to arrive at the cemetery by 10:15 AM and meet in the funeral assembly area. Memorial contributions may be made to Miracle Meadows Horse Ranch, located at 3604 Chase Rd., Adrian, MI 49221.

Age 66, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023. Bruce was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on September 25, 1956, the son of the late Robert R. and Doris A. (Marsh) Buddemeier. He was a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School, class of 1975. Upon graduation from high school, Bruce enlisted in the United States Coast Guard and served his country honorably until 1979. He was a long-time employee of L.C. Howard as a truck driver. Bruce loved horses and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He is survived by his children, William “BJ” (Kaley) Buddemeier, Anthony (Samantha) Buddemeier and Faith Vlietstra; 12 grandchildren; brother, Ronald (Susanna) Buddemeier; sister, Robyn White; niece, Michell (Kendrick) Atkins; and nephews, William Douglas Buddemeier and Richard (Shanuelle) Buddemeier. Thank you for being there when you never had to be. You saw thought my bs all those years ago and were a genuine friend and I will always miss you. Your kindness and honesty while lost now will always be remembered.

I did not personally know Mr. Buddemeier, other than as a Facebook friend, but this kind gentleman had a positive influence on many, and he probably didn’t even realize this – which is proof you never know whose life you impact by your presence. My condolences to the family Cheryl Benson
