Obituary
Age 90, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019. Carolyn was born on June 13, 1929, in Benton Harbor, MI, the daughter of Garrett and Helen (Wolford) Snyder. She was married to Benjamin Sherman who preceded her in death in 2016. She worked for many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Carolyn is survived by her children, Michael (Mary) Spencer, David Spencer and Kevin Spencer; step-daughters, Catherine (Erwin) Doublestein, Susan (Dennis) Derhammer, Bonnie Cleasby and Sandra (Robert) Young; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jack (Hazel) Snyder, Pat Morrison and Sharon (Don) Paulson; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Craig Spencer; a daughter-in-law, Martha Spencer; a son-in-law, John Cleasby; 2 brothers and a sister.
My deepest condolences to Carol’s family. She was such a delightful person. I knew her from her Fidelity Federal days but became friends with her when we worked at Standard Federal. Carol had the most infectious laugh and a wicked sense of humor. Those of us who had the privilege of calling her friend will miss her a lot. Pam Brink
