Catherine I. Dalrymple

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private burial will take place alongside her father and mother at Riverside Cemetery in Kalamazoo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, c/o the funeral home.
Obituary
Age 85, passed away on June 9, 2020 after a brief illness. Catherine was born March 23,1935 to the late John Henry and Glenna Leona (Fox) Gerry. In March of 2001, she married Travis Dalrymple and remained married until his death in December of 2001. Catherine was a long-time employee of Kalamazoo Public Schools Transportation, from which she retired in the year 2000. After retirement, she provided home care for seniors throughout the Kalamazoo area. Her hobbies included many nights at Bingo, occasional trips to the casino and yard sales. In addition to her parents and husband, Catherine was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn Gerry. She is survived by her children, Larry (Linda) Duke, Michael D. Metheny, Debra D. (Tim) Searl, Louis J. Metheny, and Robert L. (Linda Phelps) Metheny; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
