Obituary
Age 70, of Portage, formerly of Battle Creek, passed away at Centrica Rose Arbor Place on August 11, 2025, with loved ones at her side. Darlene was born in Battle Creek on September 18, 1954, the daughter of the late Donald and Elizabeth (Franks) Eib. She was kind, loving and sharing. She worked hard as a homemaker and her heart, and home were always open to those in need. She was outgoing and enjoyed family gatherings, summer cookouts, playing bingo and watching reality television shows. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Darlene’s smile, laughter and love will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by three children, Ronald Correnti, Sherry Clear and Frank Correnti; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Eib and sister, Karen Dellinger; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was also preceded in passing by her husband, Ronald Correnti; brother, Anthony; sisters, Denise and Paula; son-in-law, Timothy Clear.

I will always hold in my heart the memories of the fun times we had during different times throughout the years. Darlene was one special lady, I know her life wasn’t always easy, and she went through a lot of emotional pain as well as physical pain, but she endured and would still be there to fight for others. She could make you smile, even when you didn’t want to and it was impossible to not be caught up in her laughter. Darlene will be missed by so many of us. I pray she can rest peacefully now.
We had a lot of fun with our kids at Eagle Lake when our kids were little, she was the sweetest lady you would ever meet,RIH my friend
