Obituary
Age 64, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Dava was born on July 19, 1954, the daughter of Carlisle and Imoinda (Walk) Thomas. She worked many years for the City of Kalamazoo, most recently as an Accounts Coordinator. She enjoyed traveling and camping. As a teenager she excelled at skeet shooting and enjoyed this as a hobby well into her adult life. She is survived by her friend and companion, Dan St. Clair of Portage, and a brother, Steven (Cheryl) Thomas of San Pedro, CA.
We met at WMU in 1983 and kept a close friendship as fellow Winomes for over 30 years. I will dearly miss this spunky, kind, and intelligent woman until I join her and Carol, our other sister Winome, on the other side.
Condolences to Dava’s family and Dan we are very saddened by your loss. You have our sympathies. Dava was part of our younger lives but always in our hearts. I remember the pre-theater gatherings before seeing Rocky Horror at the Barn long ago, and gathering with other friends and Winomes at parties and campfires. Dava was a smart and sweet soul. May her memory be eternal.
