Age 61, David Moats passed away suddenly at Glenn Arbor Hospice on August 30, 2019. He was born in Kalamazoo, MI on March 30, 1958, the son of J.P Moats and Priscilla (Oman) Moats. He was a hard worker his entire life doing several trades. His favorite being a mechanic and wrenching on cars, with a big love for classic cars and anything with a motor. The greatest love of all were his two children, Michael and Amanda who survive him. he is also survived by his mother, Priscilla Moats; his siblings Pam Moats of Kendall, Doris (Jimmy) McCorstin of Birmingham, AL, Teresa Scott of Portage, Kevin (Julie) Moats of Decatur, AL, Christine (Mark) Amsbaugh of Kalamazoo; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father. Spending time with his family and the simple things in life were the two things he cherished most. He will be missed dearly.
