Donald Alan Harrington, age 72, passed away at his home on August 26, 2026. He was born in Kalamazoo on May 10, 1954, the son of the late Albert and Emma (Sherman) Harrington - Meninga and stepson to Jack Meninga. Don worked hard as a custodian for the Portage Public School System and Eaton Corporation. When not working, Don enjoyed watching NASCAR, many sports on TV, playing billiards and video golf games, trips to Lake Michigan, mowing his large lawn, gathering for the holidays and visiting with friends. Don also liked to build things and always had some DIY projects going around the house. Don is survived by extended family and many dear friends, who were an important part of his life.
