Donna M. Wright

A memorial service to celebrate Donna’s life will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 16, 2019, beginning at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM, one hour prior to the service. She will be interred at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice, c/o the funeral home.
Obituary
Age 81, passed away on January 28, 2019. She was born in Kalamazoo on February 18, 1937, the daughter of the late George and Mary (McDonald) Flegal. Donna was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed. She was dedicated to her family and leaves them with wonderful memories to cherish. She was never happier than when her family was gathered together to share a special moment. She also enjoyed gathering with her deaf friends to play cards and other games. On October 27, 1956, she married Lloyd Wright Jr. who preceded her in passing on February 26, 2016. She was also preceded in passing by a daughter, Dorothy Wright; siblings, Helen Felder, Larry Flegal and Corrine Rice. Donna is survived by three children, Edwin (Stacy) Wright, Jim (Lynn) Wright and George (Mary) Wright; ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Lee Griffith, Jane Wells and Richard Flegal.
I never felt closer to Donna as, when we would sit in her kitchen and she would share her genealogy stories with me. Also, on occasion we would talk about the Lord and what would happen when we left this life. It calms my heart to know that she is right where she should be. In heaven, with her loved ones. Her dear husband Lloyd, Dorothy and everyone else that has gone before us.
I was lucky enough to meet Miss Donna one weekend day when her son would bring her shopping. I also got to see her every weekend while she was still able to get out. She would always remind that he was her son so I know how much her family ment to her and how proud she was of them. I will miss seeing her however i feel very lucky to have known her and and that she is is in a better place.
Aunt Donna always had a great big smile, and I will miss that. So sorry for the loss of your mom, Ed, Jim, George and family.
