Uncle Doug, I am so sad to see you go but I’m glad that you are now with Aunt Violet. I have such fond memories of you. I remember as a young child staying overnight at your apartment soon after you and Aunt Violet were first married. I recall many family gatherings at your house where we shared good food and conversation. I especially remember Aunt Violet’s baked beans and your famous chocolate walnut fudge at Christmas time. I can almost taste it—so delicious. You were always kind and soft-spoken and I will genuinely miss you. Rest In Peace, Uncle Doug. It was a pleasure being your niece. You have left a wonderful legacy in your children and grandchildren. They will carry-on your good name.
