Doyle L. Helmick age 80, of Kalamazoo passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Kairos Dwelling. Doyle was born August 7, 1945, in Hillsdale, the son of Herschel and Helen (Sumnar) Helmick. He was a 1963 graduate of Camden-Frontier High School, was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Hillsdale Tool. Doyle was a member of Celery City Moose Lodge # 2694 and enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling and played softball for over 20 years. On September 2, 1967, in Jackson Doyle was united in marriage to Linda (Fink) Helmick who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Kasandra Scott, Renee (Dan) Orr; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Terry (Marilyn) Helmick; sister, Pat Schmucker; several nieces & nephews.
Iam so sorry For your loss. Iam so glad I got to sit with him on New Years Eve and we talked about Gary,, Michigan football, our September birthday parties. How we got to know each other through the moose and golf. He was such a great friend. I hope him and Gary have some beers and catch up. RIP my friend, I will watch out over Linda
