In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place and a memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018, beginning at 1:00 PM at the Cooper Township Hall.
Obituary
Age 83, passed away at Rose Arbor on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. He was born in Covert, MI on December 16, 1934, the son of the late Julius and Mary (Gorka) Dec. Ed was a hard worker who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He worked for the Eliason Corporation for over 45 years. He enjoyed his cars and going to antique car shows as well as playing cards with friends. Ed and Helen enjoyed going to Dixieland Jazz festivals with family and friends. His friendly smile will be missed by all who loved him. On June 9, 1979, he married his wife, Helen, who survives. Also surviving are five children, Theodore (Sharie) Dec, Samuel Dec, Timothy (Cherie) Dec, Jonathan (Renee) Dec, Juli (Duane) Hagan; two step-children, Jeffery (Wendy) Conklin and Kimberly (Robert) Crose; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his loving dog, “Teddy.” He was preceded in passing by four siblings, John, Helen, Frank and Stella.

Ed was the kind of classmate you loved to be around. I live in Rowlett TX. now and Ed sent me knowledge things all the time. I miss the communication we had . He always kept up with me. I looked forward to his emails and he is greatly missed. Love and blessings to all his family. He is a great friend of mine and will never be forgotten . He is in peace now and loved my all who knew him,
