A memorial service at Kalamazoo Missionary church will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
Obituary
Eleanor D. Collins, age 90, of Kalamazoo passed away Sunday May 10, 2026, at Medilodge of Westwood. Eleanor was born August 21, 1935, in Freeport, MI the daughter of Melvin and Fanny Bell (Abbott) Bird. She was preceded in death by two former husbands, Gene Weitz and Orville Collins; two sisters; five brothers. Surviving are three children, Jeannie (George), Bradshaw, Robert Weitz, Gary Weitz; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces & nephews.
Robert, Jeanie, Gary , I am sorry for your loss. Your mom was a wonderful lady. I will miss her. She was an awesome aunt. Keep those great memories close in your heart forever. Louann
