Obituary

ELOISE \"ELLIE\" ALLENA HATH LOUDEN
Ellie, age 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by family members, Sunday morning, February 26, 2023. Ellie was born in Brighton, MI on November 18, 1928, the daughter of Minty E. and Mary Elvira (Wright) Hath. On April 22, 1976, she married Wilbur “Bill” Louden who preceded her in death in 2006. Ellie was first and foremost a mother/grandmother, a Psychiatric Nurse, Piano Teacher, and a friend. She devoted her life to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Throughout the years, she was a woman of strong religious faith, always active in her church, playing the piano for church services, and a member of her Prime Timers class. She loved to sew, making clothes for her children, she loved to crochet, making beautiful blankets and hundreds of “scrubbies” for her family and friends. She loved taking long walks on the beach in Florida. Playing cards with her family was her joy, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She taught every one of them to play Hand and Foot when they were old enough to hold the cards in their hands. Ellie loved creating and sending out cards to all of her family and to so many precious friends for all occasions. She considered it to be her Ministry ~ staying in touch and sending out love through her cards. Ellie is survived by her daughters, Mary Torrey-DeVitto (Lee Cella), Terrie Pickard (James Fessler), Shawn Ferenc (Mike), Jodi Keelan (Jeff), Shanna Kuieck (Gordan): Grandchildren; Torrey DeVitto, Maryelle DeVitto (Travis Weidel), Dylan Pickard, Suni Pickard, Brittany Ferenc (Adam Diekelman), Alexandra Ferenc (Dixon Weathers), Shane Cates (Kayla) , Shawn Cates (Lacé), Holly Mowell (Chris), Jordan Kuieck. We met Elle at Lake Center Bible church and were also members of the Prime Timer’s class. She was a spitfire. We were also the fortunate recipients of many of her cards with the last one arriving on February 25 for Art’s birthday on the 26th the day she passed. We cherished receiving these cards as she was so thoughtful. We used to play Jokers with her as well and she was a fierce competitor. She certainly left her mark with a lot of folks, family and friends and she will be dearly missed but she now rests in peace with her Lord and Savior .

My thoughts and prayers are with her family in the loss of such a beautiful Christian lady. She always sent cards to me on birthday and anniversaries. She never forgot. The last time I saw her is when she and her daughter dropped over to my house and dropped off the scrubbies that she made. It was so very special. May she rest in peace and see her Bill. They were a very special couple. Love you Ellie.

I remember Ellie fondly from my years at Lake Center Bible Church. She was funny and full of life, and I appreciated her input during Sunday School classes. Heaven is her reward, and we all will be joining her when our time comes. So sorry to the family she has left behind.
