A funeral service will take place at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park – South. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Elara Caring Hospice.

GAMMON, Frank L., Jr.
Kalamazoo

Age 85, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. Frank was born in Rome, Georgia on August 8, 1936, the son of the late Frank L., Sr. and Hazel G. (Hubbard) Gammon. He attended school in Georgia and moved to Michigan for work at age 15. Frank started his long career at Schafer’s Bakery, now Aunt Millie’s, where he retired from. He was an excellent cook, and everyone enjoyed partaking in his dishes. Frank never met a stranger, had a fun sense of humor and told the best jokes. He was a kind and generous man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Frank also loved spending time and wintering in Florida and was an avid country music fan. He was a true family man and loved spending time with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren. On December 31, 1955, Frank was united in marriage to the former Carolyn J. Burton, who survives. He is also survived by his four daughters, Sherry Foy, Cindy (Arlis) Fleshman, Sheila (Dan Smith) Blanchard and Janet (Carey) Miller; grandchildren, Michael, Sr. and Joey (Sheree) Foy, Bob (Bryan) Fleshman, Shane (Krista) Courtney and Christopher (Kaylee) Miller; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and sister, Eleanor (Don) Lockard.
