Obituary

Frederick Roy Ouellette age 82 of Kalamazoo, formerly of Marine City, MI, passed away Sunday afternoon, March 15, 2026. Fred was born in Ashtabula, OH, on December 18, 1943, the son of Frederick G. and Emma “Ginger” (Tobias) Ouellette. On July 25, 1964, he married Carolyn Money who survives him. Professionally he worked as a Journeyman Electrician and had just received his 60 year pin in the I.B.E.W. Local 58. He also had served as an electrical inspector for five different communities. Fred was an avid golfer, bowler and all-around sports fan. When his sons were children, he coached their Little League teams. He also coached the Knights of Columbus softball team. In their retirement, he and Carolyn enjoyed wintering in Florida, with special times spent with Carolyn’s sister Janet and her husband, Jack who also have recently died. He had a wonderful, loving relationship with his family, especially his grandchildren, with whom he shared a mutual sense of humor. To Carolyn and family. You have my deepest sympathy. Went through grade and high school with Fred. He was always at the top of the class scholastically. Played sports with him also. After high school we both took to golf and played many times together. A nicer friend you could not have. May he rest in peace and may God give you strength to get through this difficult time.
