Cremation will take place and she will be laid to rest with Phil at Ft. Custer National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o the funeral home.
Obituary
Gladys Irene “Glady” (Blackledge) Rolfs, age 82, lost her battle with Lymphoma and Bone cancer on June 23, 2026; she was at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Marion, MI, on February 13, 1944, the third of four children to Leslie “Pudge” and Eleanor Blackledge. On June 17, 1965, she married the love of her life, Philip Rolffs and gave birth to twin daughters. They enjoyed sixty-one years of marriage. The family lived in various places throughout Michigan, finally settling in Portage on West Lake. Glady lived her life to the fullest and was devoted to God, family and friends. Glady’s smile and joy will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Philip Rolffs; daughters, Kay (Kirby) Twigg of Ravenna, OH, and Carolyn (Douglas) Miles of Louisville, KY; grandson, Andrew Malak; extended family and friends.
I worked with Gladys many,many years ago at KCSB. She was always very kind. She often spoke about her husband and twin daughters. My sympathy to her family. Kim Holling
