In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place and she will be laid to rest at Ft. Custer National Cemetery at a later date.
Obituary
Age 91, passed away at Borgess Gardens on March 24, 2018. She was born in Kalamazoo the daughter of the late Harry and Ruth Munson. Harriett was kind and gentle. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all who loved her. Harriett was crafty and enjoyed knitting and crochet. She loved being outdoors spending time in her flower garden. On September 1, 1945, she married Lionel Little who preceded her in passing. She was also preceded in passing by three siblings. After their retirement they moved to Mesick, MI and spent many wonderful years there. Harriett was a loving mother and grandmother who leaves behind special memories for her family. She is survived by four children, Marge (Mike) Bird, Rod (Cathy) Little, Jim (Mary) Little, Greg (Glenda) Little; five grandchildren; other family and friends.
My recollection of childhood was Harriett and Lionel begin a second home on the other side of the fence. We were neighbors during my formative years. She was a great mom to all the kids in the neighborhood. The memories of that time are almost faded but the love still remains. Until we met again. Sincerely, Charles Smith
Dear Family of Harriett; We had the pleasure of meeting Harriett at Borgess Gardens. She was in the room next to my dad, Dale Van Patten.(he purchased veggies from Mrs. Bird the past few years). I sat with Harriett a couple times while she was eating. We had a lot to talk about since my husband’s family has a cabin in Kaleva. Not far from Mesick. Such a sweet lady.
