In accordance with his wish cremation will take place and he will be laid to rest in Kansas at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice, c/o of the funeral home.
Obituary
Age 64, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at his home in Kalamazoo. He was born on April 27, 1957, in Kansas, the son of the late Delton and Florence (Grovenberg) Swindell. Harvey was a kind man who loved others and was always willing to help. He had a passion for being outdoors and loved fishing. He worked hard for many years as a forklift driver. Harvey was a crafty and handy man who enjoyed making homemade lamps and other crafts. Above all he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them when able. He leaves behind many wonderful memories to cherish. He is survived by his loving son, Duane (Andrea) Swindell; grandson, Aidan Swindell; stepsons, Daniel and Aaron Kuiper; siblings, Linda Swindell, Candy (Gene) Marlow, Sam Long, Terry Swindell; former spouse, Penny Swindell; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also preceded in passing by a sister, Deb Swindell.
Harvey, you will be missed,but never forgotten. Until we meet again my friend.
Sorry to hear of Harvey’s passing. He was a loving partner to our sister Shirley and stepfather to Arin and Danny. Sorry for your loss.
Dad, It’s so hard to know that you and mom are gone. The visits, the phone calls the kids asking where gamma and papa are and if there coming to visit is a reminder that we’re not here forever. I was always in denial about the whole thought of anything ever happening to you and mom but it has become a reality. I love you so much and wish we could go drown a worm. I miss you so much.
