Obituary

Age 91, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019. Irwin was born in Kalamazoo on October 24, 1927, the son of Ray Alton and Winnie (Boers) Turner. On January 21, 1950, he married Mary Kathryn Bruce, who survives him. Irwin proudly served his nation in World War II in the United States Navy. He worked for many years as a printer at Upjohn. Besides his wife he is survived by a son, David Turner of Portage; daughter, Phyllis (William) Cornell of Vicksburg; 4 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Leora Varricchio of Hickory Corners; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Bruce Turner.

Extending my sincere sympathies in the loss of Irwin Turner (a/k/a husband, dad, sister, grandpa, great-grandpa, great-great grandpa and uncle). He is sorely missed! Oh to have played one more Scrabble game with him! He has left a beautiful legacy.
