Obituary
Age 77, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. Jim was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on May 22, 1943, the son of the late Raymond and Phyllis (Cleland) Shrauger. He graduated from Climax-Scotts High School and served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Jim was a retiree of the Upjohn Co. and enjoyed the outdoors, especially walking and camping. He is survived by his wife, Marcia M. Shrauger; sons, Scott (Tomi Jo Janisse) Shrauger and Greg (Marjory) Thompson; grandchildren, Jordan and Hunter Shrauger, Brenna and Joey Janisse, Autum Libbey and Travis Thompson; father and mother in-law, Bob and Joyce Scott; sister in-law, Lurinda Shrauger; brother in-law, Bob (Pam) Scott and nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry and Jon. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place and burial with full military honors will be held at Ft. Jim you will be so missed. Ken and I will miss seeing you and trading camping stories!!! We will always remember you though when we put our smiley face on the back of our trailer that you made us!!! Glad your in the arms of Jesus. See you some day!! Save us a spot next to the heavenly campfire!!

I had the pleasure of working with Jim for a few years at the pharmacy. I never had to ask Jim if he was a Christian because I knew by the way he treated those around him. Jim was such a pleasure to talk to and I’m sure there is a room with Jim’s name on it in God’s house where he is living in constant Joy. It was a blessing to know him.

Marcia & family, Condolences on the passing of Jim. I remember our September trip many years ago to Mackinac Island where you & Jim teased me for wearing my down vest on the trip across the water. Seems to me, you both offered me $$ when it got really cold walking around the Island in the evening! What a fun guy!! Peace be with you!
