A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Voyage Church, 6339 Atlantic Ave., Kalamazoo, MI 49009, Pastor Dave Bruininks officiating. Private interment will take place at Portage South Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Jason’s memory may be made to the Lieber Institute for Brain Development, c/o of the funeral home.
Obituary
Age 38, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018. Jason was born in Kalamazoo on September 27, 1980, the son of Patrick R. and Muriel J. (Pipe) Springer. He graduatede from Portage Northern High School and earned an Associates Degree from Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Jason was employed for PMV Custom Finishes. He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Springer. Jason was deeply loved by his family and will be forever missed. He is survived by his mother, Muriel Springer; sister, Sandra Springer; brother, Kevin Springer; niece and nephew, Anika and Evan Springer; several aunts, uncles and cousins and many friends.
I remember Jason best as a youngster playing with Kevin and my children at our house and in the woods behind the house. He was always a kind hearted soul. Praying for God’s comfort and peace for each of you during this sad and difficult time.
