Jason Eric Hounshell age 64 of Battle Creek passed away Saturday, September 12, 2026. Jason was born in Battle Creek on September 2, 1962, the son of Charles and Sandra (Martin) Hounshell. Jason worked as a commercial and residential painter. In his spare-time he enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with friends. He loved animals of all kinds. Jason was baptized as a Catholic. Jason is survived by his sons, Jason Caraway and Eric Hounshell; grandchildren, James Hounshell and Thomas Hounshell; sisters, Dayna Hounshell and Sunday (Robert) Nieboer; aunts, Carol Levey and Elizabeth Toler; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Jason was preceded in death by his parents.
