Obituary
Age 78, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018. Joe was born in Plainwell on July 29, 1939, the son of the late Henry and Edith (Lowry) Predum. He was an avid bowler and shuffle board player and loved to fish. Joe enjoyed helping others whenever the chance arose. He was a busy body, always on the go, always looking for something to keep him busy. Joe is survived by his wife and partner of 36 years, Becky Hicks-Predum; daughters, Julie Jo (Billy) Shannon and Amy Parrish; grandchildren, Jamie, Kyle, Sarah and Ashton; siblings, Treva Schoneboom, Russell Predum, Roland Predum, Michael (Iva) Predum, Bonnie (Bill) Putman and Clare (Beverly) Predum and several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Mikey Predum. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Adelia McNutt, Alvin Predum and Becky Pantale.
I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know Joe when I was an adult but as a wide-eyed teenager who attended the KP, hall dances in Plainwell in the 1960s. Joe and his friends kept the troublemakers out of the dance. He was not someone to mess with, but I could also see the kindness everyone speaks of, and on more than one occasion he helped my feisty little brother get out of a fix.

I had not seen him since I was a child but many fond memories of “Uncle Joe” as a kid. I am sorry to hear of his passing.

Dear Predum Family, Joe was a man respected by many. A man amongst men. Ive not seen nor spoke with Joe in about 3 years, But shocked to hear of his departure from this life. May The Lord Jesus Christ, sustain and comfort each of you with his rod and staff as you have gone/go through this valley of death. My sincere condolences Pastor Richard Collins

This man had a kind, gentle, giving soul. Working with him in yrs past, he always had a smile on his face. Never doubled anyone if they needed assistance. Heaven Received a good angel. RIP Mr.Joe.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Joe’s passing. Worked with Joe at Perrigo from the day he started until he retired. He was one of the best guys I have ever met. He would help anyone needing help, he was strong as a bull (lol). Have not seen him in a couple of years now. Ran into him at Hospital one day and took him up to visit another of our friends. He will be so sadly missed by so many people. Prayers to you Becky, the kids, and friends. Rest in Peace Joe, you have earned it.

I’ve known you my entire life….my mom always said that when you would pull in the driveway that I would start crying lol….as I got older you became one of my favorite people. Your infectious smile and contagious laughter made it hard not to love you. You will be greatly missed by all of us.
