Obituary
Age 79 of Portage and formerly of Port Huron, passed away early Wednesday morning, January 29, 2025. Judy was born in Detroit, MI on December 12, 1945, the daughter of John Eberhard and Renelda Ursula (Moore) Marx. Judy graduated from Nazareth College with a degree in Education. Judy was a lifelong schoolteacher. She taught elementary school in several districts and also operated a day care program out of her own home. Most of her life was dedicated to raising her own children. She was an avid reader and was a Detroit Red Wings fan. Judy loved going to see her grandchildren in their theatre and musical productions. Her devotion to supporting them is what kept her going. Judy was a devoted Catholic and was faithful in attending Mass. Judy is survived by her children, Carol (James) Alber of Spring Arbor, Scott (Jen) Creager of Avoca, Karen (Josiah) Bildner of Portage; grandchildren, Caleb Bildner and Johannah Bildner; sister, Kathleen (Ron) Nagy; nephew, John (Brandy) Marx; great-nieces and nephews; and many friends. Judy was preceded in death by her parents; and her former husband Nicholas Creager. Judy’s family would like to thank her many caregivers over the years.
Carol, Karen, and Scott. My heart breaks for you on the loss of your mother. I will always remember her happy smile and contagious laugh. Love you all! Raychel Creager
