Age 79, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2018. Kate was born on August 18, 1938 in Eaton Rapids, to the late Maurice and Frances (Odiorne) Rossman. Kate earned both her Bachelor’s in Secondary Education and Master’s in Counseling and Psychology degrees from Western Michigan University. She taught high school for both Lansing and Portage Public Schools. Kate later had a Private Counseling Practice in Colorado Springs from which she retired. Kate loved performing and was active in local theatre groups in both Woodland Park, CO, and Taos, NM. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Rouse in December of 2010. She is survived by her brother, Richard (Margot) Rossman of Duarte, CA and a sister, Gayle (Jack) De Young of Kalamazoo. Kate is also survived by an aunt, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a remarkable woman and will be missed by many friends she met through Bill W.
