Age50, passed away on June 15, 2021, after a short battle with cancer; she was surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Kalamazoo on September 12, 1970, the daughter of David and Linda (McDougal) Hawley. Katherine loved life and everyone who shared in it. She was a proud mother, and grandmother, faithful wife, loving sibling and daughter. She worked hard as a bartender at the Duck In Waddle Out where she made many friends. When not working she loved hitting the open road on her Harley Davidson motorcycle. She also loved animals and was fond of her pets. Katherine’s kind smile and laughter will be missed by all who knew her. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Mark Strong; son, Louis Wheeler; three grandchildren, Tripp, Wyatt and Theodore Wheeler; two siblings, Mike and Julie Hawley; mother, Linda; in-laws, Charlie (Monique) Strong; sister and brother-in-law, Cheridah (Frank) Miller; nieces, Asha and Aleeyah Miller; Theodore\'s mother, Michelle. She was preceded in passing by her father David.
