Obituary
Age 71, passed away at his home on November 10, 2025. He was born in West Branch, MI, on February 4, 1954, the son of the late Karl C. and Ethel (White) Dunn. Kent was a man who loved others, cared deeply for those around him and did all he could to improve the lives of his family and friends. He was an incredibly hard worker who was employed by Georgia Pacific and Pharm Optima. When not working he enjoyed spending time working in the yard, watching the Detroit Lions and spending time with his best friends, Mark and Victor. He also enjoyed collecting unique items, and loved his pet cat’s, “Willow” and “Elmer”. Kent had a strong will and determination, but it was often difficult for him to seek help for himself. Above all Kent loved his family; though some teased that he loved his Mountain Dew more than family, even to the end he wanted his mountain dew. Kent was immensely proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He leaves behind many wonderful memories to cherish. Kent would always say, “I’ll rest when I Die.” Those who love him pray that he is resting at peace and will see him again one day. He is survived by his children, Jeremy (Jen) Dunn and Angela (Branden) Dunn-Smith; son-in-law, Greg Peck; grandchildren, Jeremy Jr., Hailey, Hope, Aubary, TJ “Kai”, Cole; great-grandchildren, Judith and Iris; brother, Kurt (Betty) Dunn Sr.; sister, Karla (Robert) Dentler; extended family and friends. He was also preceded in passing by his wife Karen Dunn; stepdaughter, Autumn Sunnock.
We were so very sorry to hear of the passing of our good buddy Kent. We would not be married today if it wasn’t for him. He was a sweet, generous , caring man. I hope they have Mountain Dew in heaven. I’m so very sorry to his family that they will have to go on without him but always know he is with you. When you find a mt dew can where it shouldn’t be it’s him placing it there for you. Hugs
