Londa Lee Hamilton, age 55, sadly passed away Monday, April 12, 2021 after suffering a stroke on Friday, April 9, 2021. Londa was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on May 3, 1965, the daughter of Ronald Lee Hamilton and Helen Ruth (Hall) Hamilton. Her parents were surprised and extremely proud to have had identical twin daughters, Londa weighing 3 lbs, 7 ½ oz and her twin, Linda Lou, weighing 4 lbs, 9 ½ oz; after doctors initially told them that they were having a baby boy. They were mirror twins too, with Londa being left-handed and Linda being right handed. As toddlers, the twins shared their own unique language and had a very special bond, even during disagreements with each other, one could not be punished because they would always defend one another. When older, they referred to their favorite memories as their “Laverne and Shirley moments” where they laughed so hard they had tears in their eyes and could hardly breathe.

Londa attended Kalamazoo Public Schools, graduating from Kalamazoo Central and took many classes at Kalamazoo Valley Community College and Western Michigan University. She was a very smart and independent woman who succeeded in many vocations, her favorite employment positions being held at KVCC, The Hilton, West Main Movie Theater, Fetzer Institute, Bronson Pediatrics, Dermatalic, Borgess Pipp Hospital and WMU Bronco Express and Computer Science. Londa was currently a Driver for O’Reilly Auto Parts on Gull Road, she loved her job, co-workers, the people she met, and wanted to retire from there. She spoke often of her love and respect for Amanda Phillips, Manager, and Randy Lambrecht, District Manager.

Londa was a kind, compassionate, and caring person with a beautiful soul, who always thought of friends and loved ones before herself. She loved people and was always protective over children and the elderly. Her favorite person on this planet was her niece Lillie, and Londa was hers, too. Their bond, friendship, advocacy for each other was insurmountable, Londa also became Aunt Londa to all of Lillie’s friends. Londa was a special person to 21 month old Kallen Brossia, and his mom Samantha. Kallen could say Mom and Dad, however, he did not say any other family names yet, but he said and knew his “Onda”. Londa maintained lifelong friendships from childhood, school, employment, boyfriends and even all of their families continued to stay in contact with her.

Londa loved being outdoors in nature and going for walks, camping, traveling, spending days at the beach (especially Lake Michigan), riding motorcycles or just going for a drive (and don’t ask to drive either). Londa participated in the Honor Flight Network, which escorts veterans to the World War II memorial in Washington, D.C. She was paired with veteran Robert Erwin Mitchell of Niles, Michigan, they immediately bonded and loved each other. Londa had just recently found out that he had passed this year in January. Londa wasn’t able to travel to all of the places she dreamed and desired to visit, she always wanted to go to Londa, Italy, New York City, and Greece, among many other places.

Londa was known for her love of music and attended many concerts over the years. Some of her favorite genres were rock & roll, country, zydeco and religious hymns. A favorite musician of hers is Tommy Castro. Londa recently purchased a new van, and wanted her Tommy Castro bumper sticker moved over to the new vehicle. Londa was also a great painter and bargain shopper. Her house was always decorated extra cute with knick knacks, an abundance of magnets, and holiday decor. Londa loved all holiday celebrations, St Patrick\'s Day was especially her favorite because she loved clovers. She was a firm believer in Young Living Essential Oils and holistic health, because she wanted everyone to feel good and be happy. Throughout her life, Londa loved all animals and had many pets. She leaves behind her sweet pets, dog Norman (12 years old), cat Andy (18 years old), lovebird Lucy and betta fish Percy. Norman went everywhere with Londa and loved their car rides and daily walks. They were attached at the hip and best friends, all of Londa’s pets will miss her so.

Londa is preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Lillie Hamilton, Victor and Ruth Hall, her brother-in-law Rick Cyr, along with aunts, uncles, family members and friends. She leaves to cherish her memory, her parents, her sister Lillie Elaine Brady, brother Ronald Jeffrey Hamilton, and sister Linda Lou Hamilton; her nieces, Emily Elaine (Alejandro) Sandoval and Lillie Ruth Hamilton; great nieces Eleanora and Genevieve Sandoval, and many aunts, uncles, dozens of cousins and other extended family. As well as her best friends, whom Londa considered to be her family, Rindi Clawson, Dee Clawson, Ronna Bonneau and Larry Oetman.
