Lowel Schrock, born December 18, 1945, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026, at the
age of 80.

Lowel grew up on a farm in Topeka, Indiana, and carried with him throughout his life a love of working with his hands and taking care of the things around him. He spent many years working at Robert Weed Plywood, his last lengthy place of employment.

Lowel enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He could always appreciate a good car show or a day spent at the drag races. In later years, he found happiness in a quieter life in Paw Paw, Michigan, where he and his life partner, Debbie May, spent many years together filled with road-trip adventures, cooking endeavors, and arts and culture experiences. At home, he enjoyed working on puzzles, completing crosswords, and tinkering in the garage.

More than anything, Lowel was a caring man who deeply loved his family. He was especially proud of his two children, Brent and Bridget, and cherished his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also loved Debbie's children and grandchildren, who became an important part of his life and family, as he was their "Grandpa Lowel".

Lowel will be remembered for his caring nature, his love of family, and the many everyday moments that made up a life well-lived. He is survived by Debbie, his children and their families, two brothers, and his extended family and loved ones. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
