Age 71, passed away on September 3, 2018. She was born in Kalamazoo MI, on September 24, 1946, the daughter of the late Ralph and Barbara Russell. Lydia was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sibling and friend. She loved spending time with her family and leaves them with many memories to cherish. Lydia enjoyed baking and cooking and her home was always open for the holidays. She was a gifted drawer and enjoyed crochet and other crafts. She was a hard worker who was employed as a nurse’s aide for many years by Will-Care Nursing. Lydia’s smile and warmth will be missed by all who loved her. She is survived by three children, Marie James, Lee Welsh, Morton Briggs; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three siblings, Jerry Russell, Benna Commissaris and Barbara Hagens; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was also preceded in passing by a brother, Rusty Russell.
