A private memorial and burial next to her parents at Boughton Cemetery in Scotts will be held at a later date. Mary’s family is thankful to the many people and professionals with Community Living Options who supported her and loved making it possible for Mary to live independently and it is their request that memorial contributions be given to Community Living Options, 626 Reed Ave., Kalamazoo, MI 49001.
Obituary
Age 66, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020. Mary was born in Adrian, Michigan on July 15, 1953, the daughter of the late Jesse B. and Margaret E. (McNally) Tidmore. She is survived by her siblings, Carol Bertrand, Patricia (Steven) Yamin, Jerald (Pam) Tidmore and Thomas (Tammy) Tidmore; as well several nieces and nephews. I’m so sorry to hear of Mary’s passing. I loved working with her during my time at CLO. She had a great sense of humor and wanted nothing more than to be cared for and have company. She loved giving me a hard time just so I could give her a hard time back. She always put a smile on my face! I truly cared for her and will always keep her in my heart.
Mary, you were a real charmer. We had so many laughs together and we are going to miss you. Save Peggie, Carol and me a place up there.
I met Mary when she came to CLO in 2015/2016. I will never forgot the first day I met her she asked for ice tea and was not very happy about moving. But once she got to know us all she was happy being with us. I took her to the adult prom and I remember her being SO excited because she could have all the pop she wanted while she was there. She was so funny. Countless trips to Ann Arbor and McDonald’s trips on the way back. She always said that when she won the lottery that we were going to run away to Hawaii but I had told her that she had to buy them in order to win lol. She was more than someone I was helping take care of, she became a part of my family. I’m so sad you’re not here with us but I know you’re at peace now and no longer in pain. I love you forever and always!
Ms. Mary was so full of life and she kept us on our toes. I will always remember her beautiful smile although she tried hard to keep it from me. Love you Mary take your rest.
I worked with Mary for a short time at Residential Opportunities. She was a funny, sassy, tell it like it is kind of lady. Her sister Carol was a wonderful sister who ensured Mary’ s life was full of quality. Rest easy Mary.
